Why did you choose Middlebury?

I had my heart set on another school, but when I visited Middlebury I couldn’t bring myself not to apply. When I visited for Preview Days, there was an immediate feeling: this feels like home. It still does! I’ve never looked back—I have no doubt that Middlebury is the right place for me. I love it. Though it’s hard to explain, for me it all came down to that feeling; the feeling that this is right.

Why/How did you choose your major?

Though I have many interests, I figured out that I was going to take every class required for the dance major anyway, just because I was interested in them. I figured I might as well be a major!

What was your biggest challenge transitioning to the college atmosphere?

Not being able to see my little brother every day. He’s my best friend—it was hard to make that transition, but it’s not so bad now that I’m used to it.

What is your fondest memory of Middlebury thus far?

Sledding to class during J-term.

What is your favorite class/Who is your favorite professor?

Portuguese 201 with Fernando Rocha, and all of my dance classes.

What do you do in your spare time?

Read, knit, watch TV on the internet, drink tea with friends.
